BEEMTOS EDUCARES CONSULT INSPIRES FUTURE LEADERS AT 2026 CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION
Children in Ondo State have been sensitized on leadership, moral discipline, emotional intelligence and child protection during the 2026 Children’s Day celebration organized by BEEMTOS Educares Consult.

The event, held at St. Patrick’s Mega Primary School, Olorunsola Street, Yaba, Ondo, aligned with the 2026 Children’s Day theme, “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child.”

The programme brought together educators, parents, faith leaders and child development advocates to mentor children aged between 4 and 18 on the values of confidence, kindness, unity, godliness and responsible leadership.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of BEEMTOS Educares Consult, Mrs. Oladosu Abimbola Ruth, urged children to embrace moral discipline and academic excellence while calling on parents to pay closer attention to the upbringing of their children.
According to her, declining societal values make it necessary to intentionally raise children with hope, sound morals and the knowledge of God.

“Children should not be left uncared for. We must guide them to become useful to society and help them avoid misusing opportunities,” she said.
Delivering a lecture on the characteristics of future leaders, Dr. Awe Omolara Oluwafunmilola of Adeyemi Federal University of Education identified character development, quality education, right association and responsibility as major pillars of leadership.

“If you cannot lead yourself now, it will be difficult to lead others. Leadership starts from home,” she emphasized.
Reflecting on her journey into the teaching profession, she explained that self-discovery influenced her career path and noted that teaching has enabled her to positively impact many lives.
Also speaking, Dr. Mrs. M.K. Soetan stressed the importance of the fear of God and adherence to godly principles in raising responsible future leaders.
She noted that life is filled with complex challenges and unseen battles, emphasizing the need for spiritual strength and divine guidance.

On sex education and emotional intelligence, the Founder of FARACARE Foundation, Mrs. Olufisoye Adenitan, represented by Oluwaseyi Elizabeth Jimoh, encouraged parents and guardians to invest quality time in raising children with strong moral values.
“The foundation we lay today will determine the future we will all experience tomorrow,” she stated.

She also educated parents on child protection, emphasizing open communication at home, listening without judgment and protecting family privacy online to prevent cyberbullying and abuse.
According to her, parents must discourage children from sharing inappropriate pictures online due to the increasing activities of online predators and exposure to harmful digital content.
Addressing the children directly, she advised them to understand body safety, build self-respect, maintain personal hygiene and report every form of abuse to trusted adults.

“Nobody has the right to touch you inappropriately. Any secret that makes you uncomfortable should be reported immediately,” she warned.

In his exhortation, Pastor Okunoye Oluniyi encouraged children not to shy away from responsibilities, citing biblical examples such as Joseph, David and Samuel as obedient and hardworking young leaders.
He also prayed for divine protection and guidance for children against dangers and negative influences, while interceding for Oyo children reportedly held in captivity.
Earlier, the Headteacher of the school, Mrs. Adeyemi Victoria, advised the children to remain well-behaved and avoid unhealthy peer pressure.

“You are never too small to make a difference,” she noted, stressing that “nobody should despise your youth.”

The Children’s Day celebration featured cultural dance presentations, icebreaker sessions, tongue twister contests, local content activities and children’s news presentations.

The event marked the maiden edition of the BEEMTOS Educares Consult Children’s Day programme designed to mentor, inspire and celebrate children as future leaders.
Mrs. Oladosu reiterated that children are not only leaders of tomorrow but important stakeholders of today whose dreams, talents and voices deserve continuous nurturing and support.
