ODFPS SET TO HONOUR RETIRED ONDO TUTOR-GENERAL ADEBIMPE OWOKA IN AKURE
The Ondo State Forum of Permanent Secretaries (ODFPS) has announced plans to celebrate former Tutor-General for Ondo Central, Mrs Adebimpe Adedamilola Owoka, following her retirement from the state public service after decades of service in the education sector.
In a statement jointly signed by the Forum’s Chairman, Chief Segun Odusanya, and General Secretary, Mrs Yemi Pirisola, the association said arrangements had been concluded for a retirement and send-off ceremony in honour of Mrs Owoka.
The event is scheduled to hold on May 27 in Akure and is expected to attract education stakeholders, government officials, family members and associates.

Mrs Owoka, who served as Tutor-General for Ondo Central, retired from the civil service in August 2025 after a distinguished career spanning several decades in the education sector.
Before her retirement, she oversaw educational administration across Ondo West, Ondo East, Akure South, Akure North, Idanre and Ifedore local government areas of Ondo State.

The retired education administrator was recently recognised with the Mary Slessor Women of peace presented by United Nations POLAC . She assumed office as Ondo State Tutor-General in August 2024.
Born on August 6, 1965, in Ondo City to the Adeseyoju family, Mrs Owoka began her academic journey in Lagos before attending St. Louis Secondary School. She later obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Education from Obafemi Awolowo University.

Throughout her career in public education, she served in several capacities, including Class Teacher, Vice Principal, Principal and Tutor-General.
Mrs Owoka is also the mother of reporter Oluwaseyi Jimoh of Positive FM, Akure and founder of Jobeth Media.
