SAVING MEDIA VS SOCIAL MEDIA: HOW MISREPORTING MAIMS FAMILY RESTORATION

Against the backdrop of sensational headlines thrown at the holiness preacher’s heartfelt attempt to rescue bleeding families has been twisted, dissected, and served cold, without context or compassion. What was meant to heal is now falsely accused of harming.

And I ask: when did we become so quick to tear down, yet so slow to understand?

WHEN THE MEDIA MISSES THE MESSAGE

It started as a global family and marriage conference— a gathering meant to address the crisis in our homes: rising divorce, rebellious children, silent resentment between spouses. Yet, instead of amplifying the agenda-setting message of healing, social media and even some traditional media chose to hammer on a fragment: a Q&A session— stripped of context, presented without visuals, reduced to noise.

And just like that, the mission was lost in the media’s jamboree.

Even worse, reputable platforms, those who ought to serve as guardians of public truth, became devourers, feeding off clickbait and malicious misinterpretation. This is not reporting. This is recklessness dressed in digital robes.

DOCTRINE OR DISTRACTION?

Let’s be honest: the only constant in life is change. And if a holiness preacher chooses to recalibrate the presentation of doctrine, especially on marriage, it should not spark outrage but inquiry. Why? Because marriage itself is under attack, and restoring it may require a fresh voice with an ancient truth.

After all, as the Holy Writ declares: “Follow peace with all men…”

And who is the closest “man” or “neighbor” to follow peace with, if not your spouse? If homes are war zones, how can holiness thrive?

So no, it’s not just about rules— it’s about relationships. Doctrine must not become a wall that hides the bleeding behind religious rituals. It must become a bridge that reconnects hearts back to heaven— and to each other.

WAR IN HEAVEN… AND NOW IN THE HOME

Yes, there was a war in heaven. And it ended with the author of confusion being sent down to earth.

Now that same war has relocated— into the family unit. The first institution God created. And once again, the battle lines are drawn. Peace vs. Penury. Unity vs. Division. Healing messages vs. headline hunters.

From “this is now bone of my bone” to “this woman you gave me” blame shifting has become a generational curse. And like Chinua Achebe wrote, the centre cannot hold because things fall apart when homes are no longer whole.

WHAT WAS MISSED: A FULL MEAL REJECTED FOR A BITTER CLIP

This four-day global family conference featured teachings, songs, seminars, and a final parting message on family reconciliation and restoration. Yet what trended?

A voice-only clip, without the preacher’s face, divorced from its full context. Why?

Shouldn’t we ask: why was the visual absent? Was it from an archive? A rebroadcast?

Why was the full message— meant for both singles and couples— ignored in favor of a single voice clip that conveniently fit a divisive narrative?

Truth, when sliced in half, becomes a lie. And those who thrive on such half-truths echo the voice of their father— the father of lies. Let that sink in.

Yes, the Saving Media— the dedicated media arm of the church, was ready. Because it knew criticism would come. That’s why the original archives were preserved. The preacher’s voice, though disembodied in your clips, is verifiable.

And more importantly, his message is timeless. Ancient. True. Like a hammer, it doesn’t tickle— it breaks down walls. It offends comfort to offer healing.

This was never about going viral. It was about going deeper. Because in this kingdom, shallow lives don’t go far.

To the Gainsayers, Critics and Click Chasers: What’s Your Real Agenda?

This is a call to conscience— to citizen journalists, social media crusaders, and digital detractors.

Did you verify before sharing?

Did you discern the message before dissecting the man?

Did you consider the homes bleeding in silence while you trended?

If your goal is not restoration, then what is it?

Because while you’re tweeting, families are tearing. While you’re posting, children are wandering. While you’re criticizing, couples are silently collapsing under the weight of unresolved pain.

A KINGDOM AGENDA: RESTORATION OVER RIDICULE

As revealed in Holy Writ that  “Nothing should be done through strife or vain glory…,” the message of the conference was not to stir controversy— but to heal contention. To bring peace where there’s pain. To offer structure where homes are sliding into emotional penury.

And for those truly seeking truth, you can listen to the full session.

Verify the facts and judge with compassion.

Because at the end of the day, this is not just about a preacher.

It’s about your neighbor. Your marriage. Your family. And the unseen war being waged right in your living room.
