“NONE OF HER DAUGHTERS HAVE DIVORCED OR REMARRIED” — PROFESSOR PRAISES LATE ONDO MOTHER-IN-LAW FOR RAISING WOMEN WITH STRONG VALUES

Professor Ayoola Olalusi has applauded his late mother-in-law, Mrs. Julianah Adunke Adekugbe, for the exemplary upbringing she gave her daughters, noting that none of them has divorced or remarried, a testament to the strong moral foundation she instilled in them.

The professor, who is married to the first daughter, Dr. Ireti Caroline Ayo-Olalusi, made the remark during the wake-keep service of songs held at the late matriarch’s residence at 27 Unity Street, off Akinjagunla Street, Ondo, Ondo State.

According to him, the life of the deceased reflected discipline, compassion, and a deep commitment to family values.

While reflecting on his relationship with his late mother-in-law, Professor Olalusi described her as a woman who welcomed him with sincere affection from the very beginning.

He said she was an embodiment of care, compassion, and selfless giving, adding that her positive disposition and unwavering love left a lasting impact on everyone who came close to her.

The professor further described the late Mrs. Adekugbe as a woman known for love, kindness, and positive confession, who consistently encouraged unity within the family.

 

SONS-IN-LAW PAY EMOTIONAL TRIBUTES

Another son-in-law, Mr. Vincent Akingbo, from the United Kingdom, described Mama Adekugbe as a true source of inspiration.

According to him, she lived a life defined by sacrifice, generosity, and contentment, always prioritizing what truly mattered—family and compassion.

“She truly embodied the essence of family, always loving and a source of unwavering support,” Akingbo said in his tribute.

Similarly, Mr. Ranmilowo Adeboyejo, another son-in-law of the deceased, recalled how the late matriarch was a lover of peace who never condoned bad behaviour.

He noted that she treated her sons-in-law as her own children and always supported them in every possible way.

“When you have a good in-law, it means you have a good wife. I can confidently say I had the best mother-in-law. Suun re Yei,” he wrote.

Well-wishers and family members have continued to attest to the exemplary life of Mama Julianah Adunke Adekugbe, who passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the age of 80.

Many described her as a woman whose life was guided by faith, discipline, humility, and strong family values.

EARLY LIFE OF JULIANAH ADUNKE ADEKUGBE

Mama Julianah Adunke Adekugbe was born into the family of Chief and Mrs. Olafeide of Iyemoja Street, Barracks area of Ondo Town, Ondo State.

Her upbringing was deeply rooted in diligence, humility, and strong moral principles, qualities she later passed on to her children and extended family.

Her legacy, family members say, will continue to live on through the values she instilled in generations after her.
