FREQUENT ACCIDENTS AT MOTEL PLAZA— SALUWA RESIDENTS CRY OUT FOR URGENT GOVERNMENT ACTION
Residents of Saluwa Community in Ondo Town are appealing to the Ondo State Government to take immediate action over a dangerous road demarcation in front of Motel Plaza, describing it as a death trap.
According to residents, the barricade was removed to create easy access and turning into the motel. However, this adjustment has caused repeated accidents, as the turning point is located too close to the Ife Garage Roundabout, creating confusion and poor visibility for drivers.
Earlier today, around 1:30 PM, a tricycle driver was left unconscious after crashing into the structure at the Saluwa inner gate.
Eyewitnesses say this spot has become notorious for frequent accidents.
FRSC officers arrived promptly to manage traffic and took the injured driver to the hospital for treatment.
Residents are calling for urgent government intervention to return and closeup barricade at the turning point before more lives and property are lost.
