FIRST LADY OLUREMI TINUBU CELEBRATES FATHERS, ADVOCATES FOR ENHANCED SUPPORT IN FATHERHOOD ROLES

In a heartfelt message to mark Father’s Day 2025, Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, praised the vital role of fathers and urged the nation to do more to support men in their parenting and mentorship roles.

“On this Father’s Day, I salute all Nigerian fathers who dedicate themselves to raising confident, responsible, and compassionate children,” Mrs. Tinubu said in her official statement.

She extended her appreciation not only to biological fathers but also to men who step into paternal roles as mentors, guardians, and community leaders, acknowledging their often-unseen yet significant contributions.

“I also celebrate the men who step into fatherhood roles through mentorship, guardianship, and community leadership,” she added.

The First Lady used the occasion to advocate for policies and community initiatives that empower men to thrive in their roles as caregivers and role models.

“Let us continue to give men the support and enabling environment to function effectively as fathers,” she urged. “When fathers are involved, families grow stronger, and so does the nation.”
