Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has been discharged from hospital after receiving treatment for an acute case of gastroenteritis, the club confirmed on Thursday.

The 26-year-old was admitted earlier in the day, with the club stating he was undergoing tests and receiving appropriate treatment.

Later Thursday, Real Madrid announced that Mbappé had returned to the team’s training base in Palm Beach to continue medical care and begin a gradual return to activity.

Gastroenteritis, an intestinal infection causing symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, is typically short-term but can require hospitalization in severe cases.
